There is too much email spamming because alumni directory is open to public! So I am faced with a decision to make if may be its time to make the directory available only for those who have login?
I visited the site advisor yesterday, and I was disappointed that someone review the website as spam based on the emails received from people who are not associated with our organization in way.
Well, send me your comments about what you think should be done to make our information more sucure.
I just realize today that there is no MAO’s contact information on the website!! (except in projects page). I will add that this weekend!
I apologize for not posting sooner; My schedule is crazier than ever! And I am saying that in lighter terms. We have someone who is following up with Tanesco on MAO’s behalf on Electricity Project. Things are looking up, but I will wait to give good news once we wrap up everything. But I believe we will have electricity before this year’s end.
The 2007 Annual Report is complete but not published!! I am going to take care of that in the next coming days!!
Other than that, the focus is to get both projects done before year’s end, recruit more volunteers, get MAO’s bank account in Tanzania setup and write 2008 Annual report!!! These are the goals for this 4th quarter!!
Yeah! It is finally coming! The Board of Directors are reviewing it and once that is done; The final version will be reliased! Hopefully, by end of the week the report will be available on the net. For those who wants a hard copy, make sure you update your address! MAO will be mailing this report to all alumni + donors!
As you can see on the website; Some changes have been made. More updates coming soon. I am working on few things right now! And we are still on the moving process to the new Host. So please bear with me for few more days!
We have a lot of information but not yet put together. Sorry, it was promised in March/April time.
My hands are full with other duties, at the moment, but I am hoping I will get to this soon!
I am yet to complete the annual report, to enable shareholders to get the full picture of our progress and obstacles. I am working on it. We have most of financial records/reports done by Juanita, so I need to add the rest of the information. You should hear from me soon!
Today, I sent some text messages to the Headteacher, Ms. Kujerua, and also another one to Mr. Kitutu, the Electrical Engineer. I was informing them about the new person who will be following up with Tanesco. It has been a while since we have had any progress, but we should have good news soon.
Thank you for your patient.
I had Hostgator folks help us move the files and databases. They have completed and I am testing the site, most links are not working. The website need a lot of work. So please be patient and I am fixing everything. When I am done, I will let you know. For now, we are still operating from godaddy.
All MAO Board members are doing great despite everyone’s busy schedules. We had a very succesfully Semi- Annual Board meeting. All Board members were present, therefore decisions were made. There was a lot of brainstorming for new ideas, and I am hoping we will soon start implementing all the ideas into actions. Thank you MAO board members, I appreciate all your time and efforts.
We are evaluating the desk project. One of the Board members, Mr. Frank Kambira is in Tanzania, and he has volunteer to handle this daunting task. Thank you Frank. We appreciate your help very much.
We also have a new Project Manager, Ms. Annette Kondoro. She has great enthuasiasm about volunteering and making a difference. It is very refreshing to have her on a team.
This month of July, I will not be able to get much done. I have committed to so many things. I apologize if you are not seeing much update on the website. There are so many things that have happened within MAO, and I was not able to update.
By the way, Anyone wants to volunteer for the MAO web team?
You won’t be seing much update on the website this month. But I should have more free time in the first 2 weeks of August. That will be my MAO time!! I am behind schedule, and I am hoping I can use this time to catch up with “everything MAO”.
I hope everyone enjoyed their 4th of July weekend here in USA, and “sabababa” for those in TZ. ooh, I miss “Sabasaba”!!
